Subject: Sensitivity.
Question Is it true that if you masturbate say with your hand or other rough type surface. That your penis will desensitize itself so that it can't feel the vagina that well anymore? I'm wondering how to increase sensitivity of my penis.
Answer Scott, each male is born with a given degree of penile sensitivity. There really is no way to increase this baseline amount. However, there are controllable factors that can affect this. For example, the less often one ejaculates (either via masturbation, sexual intercourse, oral sex, wet dreams, etc.), the more acute the sensitivity will be. One can by trial & error adjust their ejaculatory frequency to find a satisfactory happy medium for themselves. In addition, there are sensory nerves in the penis that can be damaged & if this occurs, the sensitivity can be significantly diminished. This does not usually occur with traditional methods of masturbation or sex. The most often cause is in those men who try to enlarge their penis by various stretching exercises, the use of penile extenders, or the practice of "jelquing". Because of this complication, I do not recommend such methods. If nerve damage occurs, it generally reverses itself if no further insult occurs. However, the recovery period may take a year or more. Good luck.
