Hi there! I've had a bit of problems with erection after quitting my ssri-medicine almost 6 months ago. Before quitting I had an doppler ultrasound (with and without caverject) to test venous leak, and everything was good and normal. After that I haven't suffered any injuries or anything like that (atleast that I know off) but my erection has gotten worse. So my question is: If I was clearly ok about 5 months ago, when I had the doppler ultrasound, is it somehow possible that I might have gotten venous leak without no injury or trauma etc.? If viagra/cialis works for me, does that make sure that I dont have any venous leak? Thanks!

At your age most cases are psychogenic and going off a serotonin inhibitor can have an impact on erections. If you are emotionally OK to be off the drug then fine but I recommend a hypogonadal work up : testosterone, estrodial, DHEA, FSH, LH and IGF-1 blood levels need be drawn for imbalance. The hormone levels are just as important as the plumbing (vascular) but even more important is psychological stability so psycho therapy should continue or start if you have not yet. Erections are optimal when all hormones and mental stability are in line. I highly doubt you could have a venous leak at 24 with out severe uncontrolled diabetes.
