I had a turp.  My urologist never told me of this "side effect".  I had the turp because I had a "shot" or neurogenic bladder.  That conclusion was made by my latest urologist who said if the problem was an enlarged prostate, you would not have to be cathetering again only a few months after the turp.  Indeed my flow was strong, but was short in duration.  I would rather be back prior to turp still having to self catheter several times per day, but still having a wet orgasm.  Urologists will always tell you that dry orgasm won't interfere with adequate sexual relief and pleasure.  The fact is that the majority of us having had turp have had a very decreased sexual release and pleasure.  One doctor on a message board even told me I had a case for a law suit because i was not told prior to turp of permanent dry orgasm.  Many are so depressed it borders on suicidal.  What ever happened to "first do no harm"?!
