Urology/prostate symptoms fluctuate

Question
I'm 62 and have some common symptoms of enlarged prostate, like dribbling, getting up in the p.m. to urinate and weak flow. But sometimes it's a lot more than other times, especially if flow is weak or not. What accounts for this? Does prostate size fluctuate throughout the day?? Thanks

Answer
Lee:

Clearly prostate size does not change during the day, but you could have an enlarged median lobe which can move a little.  When it is in the way and blocks the outflow, your symptoms worsen; when it's tilted out of the passage opening, the symptoms may be alleviated a little.  You should consult a local urologist to see if additional treatment is needed in your case.
