I seem to be having some difficulty maintaining a hard erection during sex, the last few times ive went rock hard then softend rather quickly although 2 of the times I was drink the other I was sober. I think its psychological because I can maintain a hard erection on my own. my question is do you have any tips or advice to combat this problem ?

First, don't try sex when drunk. Not only will the erections be less strong, but you may miss your target and injure or even fracture the penis.

Next, the problem is almost certainly psychological since it is intermittent.  If it continues, you may need to see a physician for some viagra or similar.  This will allow for easier erections.
