Urology/Help!!!!

Question
I have a feeling that you are going to tell me to see my doctor, but I'm shy so I hope you won't tell me that. Maybe you can help me anyways, or at least help me be able to know what to tell my doctor without being embarrassed. (and she's a girl doctor which doesn't make it easier.)

I've been having a problem lately which has been getting a little bit worse lately. If I sneeze, or if I stand up from a sitting position, often a few drops of urine fall out of my penis, and its uncomfortable. Also, after I go to the bathroom, often after it's finished streaming into the toilet my penis keeps dripping, and dripping, and dripping and I don't know when I can safely get up and zip my pants back up. I'm only 25, what's going on??

Answer
There is always a little urine left in the bulbous urethra after voiding.  The best way to empty this is to press behind the scrotum but in front of the anus and gently press the extra fluid out.

You can also try Kegel exercises where you squeeze the anus and hold the muscle for 3-5 seconds, rest, then repeat for a total of 5 times.  Do this little exercise regularly, like every time you go to the bathroom, and you'll exercise the sphincter muscle which will help hold the urine better.

If this doesn't work, go see your physician.
