Question
Deae Dr Arthur

I've read in men's magazines and books about pubococcygeus (pc) muscle or Kegels.

I 'll like to know whether by exercising this pc muscles, will you be able to last longer during sex or give you a firmer erection. If so how many you should do?

Thank you. Your reply is very much appreciated.

Sincerely

Eddie Chan

Answer
Eddie, Kegel exercises are primarily utilized to improve urinary leakage in patients who suffer from stress incontinence (ie leakage with coughing, sneezing, etc.).  This condition is most common in women who have had several pregnancies but may also occur in males.  I sincerely doubt that it will improve erection quality and erectile firmness.  I have read no legimate medical articles proporting this claim.  However, there is no down side to doing the exercises.  There are some techniques that involve behavior modification (and lots of practice) and the so called "squeeze" technique that may help you to delay ejaculation.   Many examples of these can be found on the internet.  One such web address is:

Good luck!
