Subject: which toyota to buy

Question
I am looking to spend around $8000-$12000 and here are my three options, which one will have the least problems and which is the best buy
1996 lexus 450 with 56,000 miles $12000
2001 toyota sequoia with 120,000 miles $10000
2000 toyota 4runner with 92,000 miles $9000

Answer
Hi Steve

Your looking at vehicle's from 13 to 8 years old all in same price range.

When shopping for vehicle's this old the best buy and least problems comes down to you having done some homework, what suits your lifestyle may not suit mine.

If I was buying here are my steps to narrow down to one choice.

(1) Test drive all 3, here is a link on my website how I test drive vehicle's     http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html  you will have it narrowed down, be it the handling - history or price, miles and age of vehicle dont come into play in this age group... CONDITION is the only factor buying something that will outlast your investment.

(2) When you landed on what you think suits your lifestyle best, an independent inspection is a must, if seller will not allow, you walk away

SUMMARY... You made excellent choices, and the fact that you ask this forum for input shows that your 90% ahead of other shoppers, as most questions asked is a bad deal after the fact and looking for ways to resolve. GOOD LUCK

Ray
