Question
THIS IS A REOCCURING CHARGE ON MY BANK STATEMENT, CAN YOU TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT, PLEASE ?
Answer Hello,
While I'm not too familiar with Vesta, I do believe it is some type of a fradulent charge. Perhaps the most notorious of fraudulent charges are ones that beging with "APC9" However, one main indicator of a fraudulent charge is if there is an asterisk in the name, which there seems to be on that charge you have listed. This commonly occurs either by a phishing scam, or someone somehow intercepting information when you make a purchase online. My reccomendation is to contact your bank or credit card issuer and file a dispute and explain that you are not aware of this charge or where it is originating. They will investigate this for you (find out where it came from, why it was charged, etc). If they cannot fina resolution typically within 3 business days (depending on your state of residence), they will give you a provisional credit for the amount(s) charged during the investigation period which typically lasts no longer than 10 business days. In the event they find it is something you authorized (rarely the case) or the place agrees to refund your money, they will remove the provisional credit. However, nine times out of ten, a dispute results in the favor of the consumer. They will also more than likely close that card down, and issue you a new one with a new number, only in the most extreme cases have I seen where they change your checking account number too.
Good luck!
Shane
