Question
I like to open an account to buy a stock with the etrade online. Even though online they indicate they are federally insured how can I find out, are they really a legit to trust my money while I purchased the stocks that  I want. Thank you. Ugurhan

Answer
Hello,

You should be able to check www.fdic.gov and verify it.  However, I can tell you that Etrade is a GREAT place to bank with, I personally have some accounts with them and have been very satisfied.  I would not hesitate to reccomend them to a friend, and can tell you that I know for a fact they are legit and federally insured.  Go for it!
