Question Hello, I have a question relating to banking. My elderly parents and I banked at the same bank. I had my personal account and my parents had their personal account. My father has terminal cancer and my mom has Alzheimer. I had to be added to their account to pay their bills. I lost my job my personal account became overdrawn so they took from my elderly parents to pay my debt. Even though the only deposits going into my parents account where my fathers pension from PG %26 E. I never had anything to do except for write checks. Is this legal.
Answer yes it is legal it is the right to offset is your name is on their accounts they can legally recover from any account with your name on it without notice as long as it is with the same bank. if your accounts are with another bank they need to get a legal adjudgment
