Using Banks and Bank Accounts/Valid Check Signature

Question
George:
I use software to print the contents of my personal checks.
I can store a copy of my actual signature and the software will print my signature as I wrote it.
But if I decide to print my name instead as follows:
"Harry Smith (signed)"  .....without the quotes, Does that constitute a valid signature.
Thanks for volunteering.

Answer
Hi Nicholas,

You can have any signature you would like on your check, noone can tell you how to sign your name, I've had clients use circles and smiley faces in my career.

The only negative there is, you are exposing yourself to risk just because a printed name is not unique and can be easily forged.

There is ways to upload signatures now adays and just paste it on to the check.

Good Luck.
