I received a letter yesterday from CitiBank saying they have terminated my business credit card account. The reason was must last payment (made through their internet site) came back as NSF. This was surprising to me because the account did have sufficient funds and my bank would have hit me with a big NSF fee if it didn't.
Obviously, the most likely problem is the account number got screwed up. I doubt I did it, but it is possible. Based on previous interactions with them, they probably screwed up the transaction.
I'm planning to call them and request a copy of the internet transaction in question and the related documents so I can sort this out. I'm also going to make the payment again, via the internet, and make screen prints to document everything. Is there anything else I need to do?
Doug
