Question
i have recently completed masters in GIS.i have 3 questions.
1st can arcgis 9.3 run on vista .
2ndly what can i do with the data of health (children given polio drops ) data in gis .
3rdly how can i apply gis in comperterized data of coorporation whose perpective is to pick , drop and calculate average garbage containers and garbage.
and plz tell me can i show 2d map in 3d using arcscene ( if possible plz give me a detailed answer)

Dear Umk,

1. I really don't know about compatibility of running ArcGIS 9.3 on Vista because I have never encountered it before. Try it and let me know, I would be thankful to you for the information :)

2. You can show disease modelling using health data like Disease spread modelling, Emergency
Information System, City Health Tracking and much more. Try " Health Management and GIS" or "Health GIS" as a search in google

3. You will have to register or georeferenced the computerized data of corporation (If it is parcel data), or you will have to generate a base map of your local corporation, then you will have to track the information using GIS and navigation. Try "Solid Waste Management and GIS" as a search in Google and you will get the information

To generate 3D in ArcScene you need a data with elevation value or 1 field in attribute which will be used to generate a 3D model. For e.g. Building Height, Contour Elevation etc
