Question
Hi

I work as a training manager, and need to automate my system. I am planning to set up a system where participants can get an email notification when a training is planned, and it reflects in the calendar. All of this should be feasible by simply setting the training date and name of the training and selecting the database containing the participant list.

I'm very new to Lotus notes and am unsure how feasible this is. Please help me out.

Thanks.

Answer
Hi,

You should know advanced notes development to do this.

What you will need is a notes application which will contain the training documents.

In that application, there will be a scheduled agent which will send out the email, along with an add to calendar button.

These are not overly complicated programming but it requires extremely good understanding of lotus script.

So, I strongly suggest that you get hold of an experienced notes developer to do this for you.

Regards.

Paski
