Subject: Lotus Notes Forwarding Agent on Local Only

Question
Hi Paski

Sorry if you have answered this many times but I couldn't find a similar question.

I have some forwarding agents which forward mails to an external email address which can be accessed by the users mobile phones. This works well however my Notes Administrator wants to disable agents running on the server.

Is it therefore possible to have a local client run the agent rather than have it run on the server? I could have a dedicated desktop client replicating incoming mail messages and forwarding them, rather than the server.

I have tried disabling the agent in designer on the server and leaving it active on local, but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Many thanks for your assistance

Allan

Answer
Hi,

I have to check this since I have not done this before. It should work if you schedule it and select local as the server to run..

If I do not come back to you within the next day or so, please send me the question again.

Regards.

Paski
