Question Hi,
I created a report on Access 2007 and I am having a formatting issue. Is there anyway to get rid of a vertical space? For instance I have to have a 'Program Description' field, however not everything I am working with has a program description and for those that don't Access leaves a space for where it should go. Is there any way to get rid of this space?
Answer Set the Can Shrink property of the control to Yes.
However, if you are doing a columnar report that might look like this:
Date: 6/30/09
Program Description:
Program Cost: $1000
Because the label exists, the Can Shrink property will have no affect. You might have also do something like this in the On Format event of the detail band:
If IsNull([ProgramDescription]) Then
Me.ProgramDescriptionLabel.Caption = Null
End If
Hope this helps,
