Using MS Access/Import Excel File into Access

Question
Hello

I need to import an excel flat file into access for a processing fee database.  The excel though is not normalized.  I can use the table analyzer for the initial setup but I want to append future data.  Should i import the excel table as is and then reference it to create my own normalized tables?  The key fields are volumes, date, volume type, and well.  I currently have a volume table with volume primary key and well, then a volume detail table with volumes, and a third table with volume type (oil, gas, water).  Not sure if I am missing something.

Thanks

Answer
What is the structure of the Excel table and how does it relate to other tables? Will the Excel data be subject to editing or can you just import the data?

Hope this helps,
