Using MS Access/track student attendance

Question
QUESTION: Sir i am creating a college management database so i cannot update daily attendance
how to do it
then how to track it month wise

any help would be appreciated

ANSWER: I don't usually track attendance, I track absences. Unless an absence is recorded the person is presumed to be in attendance. This makes it easier on the tracker since they only need to record when a person is not there.

I usually use a table like this:

tblAbsence
AbsenceID (Primary Key Autonumber)
StudentID (Foreign Key)
AbsenceDate
AbsenceReasonID (FK)

Hope this helps,

please next problem is tracking result of every student

each student have weekly and monthly tests and reports must be prepared for weekly and monthly result cards

any help would be appreciated

ANSWER: You should have a table listing each test result and report result for each student with the date. From there you can easily create a report to group by week or month.
