Using MS Access/Update


QUESTION: I have a field name 'CValume', type as 'number'. I am trying to set 2000 records to missing value from '10'.
I have tried using 'qurey Update' Update to: "." or "" ... , i got this ' ...can't update all the records in the update query.....'
How can i do this. Please help. Thanks!

ANSWER: Sorry I'm not following what you want to do. Are you trying to identify the blank records or fill them? What is the full SQL statement.

Then run a Simple Update query. From Query Design mode, select your table, include the field you want updated in the grid and change the type to Update and then put Null or "" in the Update row and run the query.

The SQL for the query should look like this:

UPDATE table SET field = "" (or Is Null)
