Using MS Access/Web database

Question
Hi,
I am using Access 2010. I have a DB with WEB tables. I have also client forms and reports. I don't want to use web forms and reports as they don't support all the functions as client ones.
My questions is can I use existing forms and reports on the web?

Regards
Elie

Answer
If you want to put a database on the WEB you would be better off upgrading to Access 2013. The Web database feature in 2010 has been changed in 2013, so the 2010 way of doing it is a dead end.

You cannot use existing "client" forms and reports with WEB tables unless you can connect to the tables via ODBC. For example. Lets say your WEB database uses SQL Server. If your SQL Server database is on your network and you can use ODBC to connect to it, then you can link to those tables in your client app.

Hope this helps,
