Question hi there
i am a rookie at access and im just learning how use the program
with some help here and ther if come quite far
(i use XP sp 2 and office 2003)
the question is this
if got a main table wich consist of several look up table's
1 table has properties in them of music records
like : hard bass, high tones, fast rythem, no vocal, slow drum etc etc
this table is used in 4 look up tables per record
so in the form i made you see up to 4 properties
of a song
now wat i want to do is make a querie that i can asign to a btton or somthing
that can search on these properties
the problem is a propertie is not always on the same spot
for instance in record one look up table 1 says hard bass 2 says no vacals 3 and 4 are empty
in record 2 look up table 1 says vocals, 2says fsat rythem and 3 says hard bass and 4 is empty
i want this query to look for a property in al 4 list
so that nomatter where hard bass is enterd it always finds the song if it hase this property
thankss in advace

Answer Hi Mitch
I found this an interesting challenge and built a little App to demonstrate filtering. Send me your email to gmjohns@fastmail.fm
