I first wrote Basic in 1976 on a TRS 80 and have worked in Visual Basic 1.0 and every subsequent release of Microsoft Visual Basic. I work best with Windows Forms based applications, and while I do work in C# as well, I prefer to limit my questions here to Windows Forms based applications created in Visual Basic.NET and SQL Server. Thank you for the kind words! I am just so tickled to be here I can hardly stand it ;c) I will do my best to help :c).
Now ASP.NET is a different thing completely than VB.NET and I am wondering if you may mean something slightly different. You can create Web Forms in either VB.Net or C#.NET. When you create either you will create an ASP.NET page, so do you need to convert C#.NET to VB.NET as the coding for your ASP.NET? (I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but it is how it works ;c).
The ASP.NET code works with the web servers to construct HTML on the fly and it is controlled by the VB or C# code which handles the events such as buttons and data access and the like. Can you give me a small sample? I will try to help!
