Question Hi
I have a question about object oriented programming.
1)I have 2 classes; one userinterface which is a form class and one presentation class which changes the first one's controls' visible/enable properties regarding to its state. for example in a wizard form the panels' visibilities should change by pressing "next" or "back" button. so both classes need the properties of each other. I have decided inheritance as a solution: presentation inherits userinterface. What do you think? Is there any better way?
2) the same problem is in a robot control system with sensor, brain and actor classes. all classes need information of each other. The reason of using classes in both problems is just encapsulation.
what can you suggest in this problem?
thanks
Answer 1. You can use a global module in vb.net to contain shared values. you can also encapsulate the values in a static class may be and use that. I hope you are not working on ASP.net, Inheritance is just a bit fancy to be used in this scenario.
2. You might want to use a design pattern which allows collboration between objects. I dont remember the name of the pattern right now may be you can look into it.
