how do i link my VB.NET application to a excel and word spreadsheet?

hers my code:

       Try

           Dim ExcelApp As New Excel.Application
           ExcelApp.Visible = True

           Dim Doc As Excel.Workbook = ExcelApp.Workbooks.Add()
           Dim sheet As Excel.Worksheet = Doc.sheets(1)

       Dim x As New Excel.Application
       Dim tmpWorkBook As Excel.Workbook
       Dim QuoteSheet As Excel.Worksheet
       Dim cCell As Excel.Range
       Dim cRow As Excel.Range

       tmpWorkBook = x.Workbooks.Open(destfilename)

       QuoteSheet = tmpWorkBook.Worksheets.Item("Quotation")

       cCell = QuoteSheet.Cells(5, "H")
       cCell.Value = "SomeText"
