Question
Hi
1)How can I set the icon of my usercontrols, which could be shown in the toolbox (instead of the default gear icon)?
2)Which one is better in windows applications?
a) to connect to db at the beginning of the application and disconnect at the end?
b)to connect and disconnect at the beginning and the end of any query/transaction we wanna perform in each form?
3)How can I define customization forms to the usercontrols I design? something like the wizards of ADO.Net's connection control or all infragistics' components?
Thanks

Answer
1. Add an icon file to the project make it an embedded resource and use the following:
<ToolboxBitmap(GetType(YourClassName), "YourIconFile.ico")> Class YourClassName

End Class
2. Lesser the connections lesser the consumption of resources and higher the performance. so a) is a better optional "normally"
3. Please explain in detail.
