Vacation Homes - Rental Property Misrepresented

Expert: Ryan Dickens - 9/6/2006

Question
Hello.  I recently stayed in an LBI vacation rental (condo) for which I have a signed lease that includes the property ammenities.  According to the lease/realtor, the property has central A/C, a VCR and a few other ammenties.  Upon arrival, I learned that there was no central A/C nor a VCR.  Am I entitled, by law, to receive compensation as the property was falsely advertised by the agent?  I appreciate any advice you may be able to offer!  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Jill,
Legally I can not answer that question in the state of Colorado because I am not an attorney. However, as someone who deals with vacation properties, I would reccomend you ask the same question of an attorney as it sounds like you have a valid claim.
Thanks
