Question
hey Andrea i have a question
what is the deal with sammy Hagar and Eddie?
what was the main cause of having Hagar leave?
did you think that David lee Roth would be touring with van halen?
and do you think Wolfgang will be the next best bassist?

Answer
Hi Corey,

Regarding Sammy and Eddie, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is safe to say that Eddie's substance abuse issues have alienated him from many, many people.  I totally respect the man as a guitarist, but he has a way of driving people away.  I know the last shows on the 2004 tour were not good times for the two, and Eddie's playing reflected how out of it he was.  Hagar left in the 90s due to friction over work ethic...Eddie said Sammy was slacking, Sammy was newly married and expecting a child (but somehow got a new CD out well before VH did).  Hagar left/or was booted in 2004 after tensions boiled over.

I never thought that Roth would be back with VH.  He has totally been on his best behavior for this tour, really going out of his way not to rock the boat.  I never, ever thought I would see it.

Wolfgang...he's competent, he can hold his own on the bass.  He needs a few more years before he would ever be considered great or the best.

Andrea
