What`s the Brown M&M`s story about? How in the world does Eddie play that!? What the heck is on the cover of "Fair Warning?" Does Alex really need three or four bass drums? Where did they dig up David Lee Roth, anyway? Ask away, and I`ll try to help you become one with all things Van Halen.

Experience
13,534 repeat listens of "Women and Children First." I think I'm starting to understand it now, but I might be wrong.

Subject: Eddie's guitar playing???

Question
Other than Van Halen songs, of course, what other artists and their songs has Eddie played for?  In other words, in what songs of other artists can we hear Eddie playing?

Thanks...Marco

Answer
Hi Marco -

Great question.  There are probably a ton more I've never heard of, but here's a partial listing of Ed's side projects:

Autograph - "That's The Stuff"
Black Sabbath - "Cross Purposes"
Thomas Dolby - "Astronauts & Heretics"
Michael Jackson - "Thriller"
Nicolette Larson - "Nicolette"
Steve Lukather - "Lukather"
Brian May & Friends - "Starfleet Project"
David Garfield & Friends - "Tribute to Jeff"
Private Life - "Private Life" & "Shadows" (Producer)
Rich Wyman - "Fatherless Child"
Dweezil Zappa "That's The Stuff"

Not much rhyme or reason to this list, is there?  Ed just does whatever strikes him as cool.  Me, I wish he'd do an Eddie-only album, and really step out of his comfort zone.  The boy needs a challenge.

Rock On - KC
