About Geoff Wickens
Expertise
I have a fairly vast knowledge of the history of The City of Vancouver, BC. All my knowledge has been learned through on-hands experience. I am apt to answer most any question in regards to the history of the city, the construction of its bridges and the history behind some of its buildings.

Experience
I drove cab for 5 years and in that time gave numerous city tours with full historical backgrounds. I have a thirst for history and an appetite for knowledge.

Subject: Income tax in vancouver.

Question
HI,

I got a job offer in Vancouver. And they are offering me $85000 yearly Canadian dollar. so please let me know how much tax i have to give to government. and what will be my net income after tax.

Answer
This is not my area of expertise, but you can look at approx 35 - 40% (before deductions and tax shelters) going to both federal and provincial governments.  The rate also depends on the field in which you earn that money.  Are you an employee in the field or a contractor?

At that level of income, I would suggest talking to a financial planner and getting some tax shelter strategy formulated.

As I said, this is not my field of expertise.
