QUESTION: Hi Geoff, my name is Tony Fox. I have come to learn recently that my great grandfather may have been the Mayor of Abbotsford B.C. around 1912. Are you able to confirm this? His last name was Parton? or similar. I would be most grateful if you could shed some light on this subject as all my searches so far have proved unsucsessful.

I have been digging as much as I can and I have found that there is little written history about Abbotsford in the beginning of the 20th century.

To date I have found nothing for the Mayor between 1910 and 1915.

I will keep your question open and if I come across anything remotely close, I will let you know.

Sorry - but as I said in the beginning, Abby is not my forte.
