AboutGeoff Wickens Expertise I have a fairly vast knowledge of the history of The City of Vancouver, BC. All my knowledge has been learned through on-hands experience. Answer May I ask why you did not like the answer? I can understand the timeliness part of it (I was sent out of town rather quickly and was away for 3 days) - but the rest? You did not ask about a specific stat - so I gave you the numbers for ALL stats.

Crime in Vancouver is the highest in Canada for cities with 500,000 +. The majority of crimes committed are auto related (theft of, or theft from a vehicle).
Homocide in Vancouver is very low for a North American city. Vancouver averages 23 murders per year. To compare that to LA - they have that many homocides in a week.
