Question Hi.. I read your previous reponse about TOS- I too wake up at night and my hands/fingers/arms are asleep, this happens alot but not all the time. I also have tingling and itching in my feet, not always at night. Could this be related? Lately I feel like my circulation is very bad and I am a smoker so I am getting concerned. Thanks
Answer Jen, yes, all these can be related to decreased bloodflow due to smoking, family history, caffiene, diet, blood diseases, etc.
My suggesion is that you talk with your primary doc ask for a referral to a peripheral vascular surgeon, who can do a couple of easy, non-invasive tests, usually right there in the office to see if this is the cause of your difficulties.
Make sure you see a peripheral vascular (doc who works with all the arteries & veins in the body except those IN the heart and IN the head)not a cardio-vascular surgeon (heart doc)
