Question
My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half now. We are planning on having sex soon. We have both been tested for HIV and we are both negative but I still have questions about STDs. I have never had sex with a person before but he slept with his pervious girlfriend. They were in a monogamous relationship and it has been more then two and a half years since they slept together. My question is; is there any STDs that can be dormant in him for so long but still infect me if we don't use condoms?  Is there an STD that the man can carry over to the women but that doesn't affect him?  And is there a way to test for it?

Answer
Good question. I can’t say guarantee, whether your boy friend have or not. Because, it will vary from one to one. For example, 3 years back I got same type of case. After 3 years of unprotected sex, he came to know that, he got the STD. you may got a doubt here. Why this much time take to know the STD? If a person had good immune power, it is difficulty to know the STD. similarly some cases are absolutely free from STD, even they had sex before. So, it is difficulty to say. Whatever it is take care and use condom to some time.
Good luck
