About Jordan
Expertise My name is Jordan and I am an Epidemiology student at the University of Oklahoma. On top of that I am finishing my bachelors in M.D.S. public health and my minor is H.E.S. (health and exercise science). I have had many classes entirely devoted to sexually transmitted diseases, I am starting my independent study focusing on S.T.D distribution based on demographics, and have had a lot of hands on experience at the clinic that I am currently employed. I believe that sexually transmitted disease are a part of life, like any other non-sexually transmitted disease and can be controlled with knowledge. I would love to share this knowledge with anyone that is seeking it and encourage anyone that needs it to just ask, because I would love to help.

Subject: Small rashes on my penis
Question My girlfriend and I have been having sex a lot since we've gotten together. One day, we had sex for about 4 hours, and later on that day, I had small rashes on the shaft of my penis, right underneath the head. I thought it was just from the friction during sex, but it's been a couple of days and it hasn't gone away. The scary part is, I woke up this morning and I had a small rash ON the head. I didn't have that before, and I haven't had sex since the rashes formed, so I don't know what it could be.
I looked up information on different STD's, and it doesn't seem like I have any of the symptoms of any of them, but I'm not quite sure. What could it be?????
Answer This is not a symptom of an STD. It is not to difficult for you to get a friction burn on your penis, you can even get bruises. The problem is that it takes a long time to heal, being such a sensitive area. If it does not go away in a few more days you may want to see a doctor.
