Sexually Transmitted Diseases - about thyphoid fever disease

Expert: DW - 10/17/2009

Question
Sir, i am Remigius. Please, it will interest me to know if thyphoid fever is a sexually transmitted disease. And how can one be prevented from contracting the disease during sexual intercourse.

Answer
I don't think typhoid fever is a sexually transmitted disease but can be transmitted other ways.
I guess you could contract it from sex, though. But it's not categorized as a sexually transmitted disease. What I found out is that it is contracted from drinking or eating from another person. Or by the bacteria getting into water that you would use to eat or drink or wash your hands. I would advise you not to have sex when you aren't married. It is safer for your health and you won't get a sexually transmitted disease or cause someone to be pregnant. I don't know how old you are but there is some good info about this at http://www.teenbreaks.com
Hope this is helpful.
If you have any problems, see a doctor.
