Hi, I have had small pinkish/skin colored bumps along the rim of my penis for 4 weeks. They do not hurt or itch, and I wouldn't even know they were there until I look at them. I first noticed it as two red spots after masterbating fairly roughly, then small spots appeared along the rim of my penis head, and it hasn't changed over te last four weeks. They tend to be more noticable in the morning or following sex or masterbating, but then it returns to it's "normal" state 20-30 min later. They look like slightly raised skin and there is no puss or anything like that. They also do not hurt when I touch them or anything. Any insight on what this may be would be greatly apreciated
Answer Hi Jon,
Everything looks perfectly normal in this picture, but what I believe you're referring to is called pearly penile papules and they exist along the corona and even sometimes the glans itself. A lot of guys have them, including myself, and they come in all forms of "intensity." Mine are mild like yours, but some guys have PPP that are very visible and much larger. The important thing to note is that they are genetically inherited and NOT a sign of disease. However, there is no "cure" for PPP. Don't fret! They can be removed by in-house procedure at a dermatology clinic, but its pretty expensive. However, yours are sooooo tiny that I would behoove you to learn to accept and live with them as I have all these years. The act of masturbation "fluffs" up the papules because you're pulling the papules away from the skin when you massage your penis. Then, after you've climaxed and resolved, they relax and go back down. You can find more information about them on sites like WebMD, which is my favorite trusted medical resource, but you'll find that men and women have them and they are quite common.
