QUESTION: Hello doc,

I'm a 26 years old male. I got this red bump on my penis, it appeared 5 days ago, it doesn't itch, hurt or smell. To clarify, I was in a 6 months relationship, which ended about 2 months ago and there was nothing on my penis during that period of time. I haven't had a sexual intercourse in the past 2 months.

Appreciate the time,

ANSWER: Stoyan,

It appears to be merely a cyst and nothing more. I do not notice any symptoms of external STI's from the pictures you sent. Cysts are basically a form of acne, so please never pop nor mess with them as they will go away on their own, but they can also come back. So its something you ignore in my case and I find that circumcised men have more skin issues with their penis than un-circumcised men, so if this applies to you then that's an additional explanation as well. Let me know if you have follow up.

QUESTION: Thank you for the swift answer, Dr. Brice. I got 1 more tho, that I forgot to ask.. I got these 1 things, I don't know how to explain them as I'm not a native speaker, but I will attack a photo. When I take a shower in the next few hours, they aren't there, but they appear say 10 hours after I've taken a shower(when I rub the skin under penis head).. I think it might b e something fungal or whatever...

Again, thank you for your time,

You attached a photo of your fingers??? That's dry skin Stoyan and your penis is subject to the exact same conditions as the rest of your body when it comes to skin. I'm not sure if you're circumcised or not, but circumcised men (like myself) have a rougher texture to their glans than uncircumcised men. Skin is skin however, so if this concerns you then please consult your dermatologist.
