We are a group of 4 PAX who are going to be stopping over in Venezula
in June/July for 2 days... we are interested in doing a visit to Angel
Falls when we are there, starting and ending in Caracas. Is this

ANSWER: Hello Michael:
Two days in Venezuela, is to little time to go to Angel Falls. Only if you arrive to Margarita at a time that you can connect with LTA (Aereotuy)or any other airline (Rutaca) to Canaima and back to take your returning flight, you can do it.
Perhaps, if you arrive into Maiquetia airport (Caracas) is better to go for a full day to Los Roques with Aereotuy (also known as LTA), or even 2 days and one nite.

Some more details... we get into Caracas at 23:35 on Tuesday 1st July... we leave again Friday 4th July at 16:05, according to our plane tickets at the moment... do you think this might be enough time :) ? Any recommendations on a possible itinery for same?

You have two options:
Fly on Wednesday early 7 am from Caracas (Maiquetia Simon Bolivar Airport) to Ciudad Bolivar and from Ciudad Bolivar arrange previously a tour to Canaima, Angel Falls and Kavac, then fly on Friday morning no later than 10 am from Ciudad Bolivar to Caracas Maiquetia Airport to take your flight back.
Other option, fly on Wednesday early to Los Roques and return on Friday at noon to catch your flight. I suggest Posada La Corsaria in Los Roques...
