Subject: Teaching English in Venezuela

Question
I am interested in traveling to Venezuela to teach English this fall. I've decided against settling in Caracas and I would prefer a secondary city.

What is the average monthly rent for a middle class apartment in Valencia (or any similar city).

Is there a demand for English teachers?

What do tutors typically charge per hour for private students?

Thanks,
Dan

Answer
Hello Dan

Try to go to MERIDA

The average rent for a middle class apartment in Valencia or any similar city is aprox. Bs. 2.500  (USD  760) per month

Limited demand,  but there is a need for English teachers, contact prospective employers before attempting to come to Venezuela

Tutors can charge aprox (USD 15 per hour) for a private student.

Best regards,

Fco
