Question
I will be traveling to Venezuela this December to meet some one I really care for. I am a little curios as to what to expect I personally am a Mexico Citizen raised in the US California and Utah to be exact. I am looking to spend a good 15-20 days in Caracas getting to know this girl and I want to know how difficult and how much money I need to bring to (Rent, one bdr middle class maybe) live and get to know the city and the one who I think may be my future wife. If you can get me any general info doesn't need to be custom to my needs but just something typical to expect that would be awesome.

Answer
Hello Dennis

If your girlfriend can take the time out of work, you will be better off traveling to 2 or 3 places in Venezuela, such as Merida, Gran Sabana and Morrocoy for example.

Gasoline is so cheap here, that it makes sense to travel by car or bus.

To be in Caracas for 15 to 20 days, you need at least USD 3.000, to do things, just to be here you need USD 1.000, but keep in mind that as anywhere else there is a lot of variations in prices according to level and quality of goods and services...

Good luck on your trip and if you tie the knot !

F
