Subject: Aruba (AUA) to Maracaibo (MAR) or Punto Fijo (LSP)

Question
I am wanting to travel to Maracaibo and then tour Venezuela.  I know my way around because I lived in Maracaibo for two years.  I have been trying to find good flight deals, but can't find anything under $1000.  However, I found flights to Aruba for $500 and under.  My question is how can I get from Aruba to Maracaibo the cheapest.  I can't find any info on ferries or water taxis from Aruba to Punto Fijo, even though they are only like 15 miles apart, and I can't find ANY flights that go from Aruba to Maracaibo.  Do you know if there are ferries/water taxis/cheap flights from Aruba to anywhere in western Venezuela.  (Caracas would even work, but I would rather fly in closer to Maracaibo.)  Thanks.

Answer
Hello Ryan

Where do you live ?

From which city are you flying to Aruba ?

There are NO ferries or boat service (water taxis) from Aruba, Curacao or Bonaire to VENEZUELA !

Very few flights from Aruba to Western Venezuela (MAracaibo and Las Piedras Josefa Camejo Airport in Paraguana Peninsula) and June to September is High Season....flights are expensive and full !

Happy landings
