Question
i was wondering if Venezuelan birth certificates expires? Do you have to renew your birth certificate every so often?

Answer
Hi Angela,

There are several answers to your question.  There is a law (LOPNA) that states that Birth Certificates do not expire, except if you are a minor getting married, then it can't be older than 6 months... This also applies if you are going to request foreign currency from the government.  But most legal procedures would require it to be issued no more than 5 years before it is used.

I know the answer is not a simple one, it hardly ever is around here. If you need anymore info I'd be pleased to help.
