Hello, Scott:

Excellent question!  Let's get right to it --

I recommend contacting the Small Business Administration (SBA) and speaking with a small business counselor.  The SBA provides live business counselors to entrepreneurs, free of charge.  An SBA counselor can explain the funding avenues available to you as an entrepreneur, and suggest marketing concepts for your product.  To locate your nearest office, visit their website at:  http://www.sba.gov.

Scott, I hope this information helps point you in the right direction.  Should you think of other questions or need further guidance, please feel welcome to write me again anytime.

I wish you great success in your endeavor --

Sincerely,

Jim D. Ray
