Question I have a certificate that is issued to a Lawrence ross and is dated Feb. 25 1901 for 200 shares of stock with the kern crude oil co. Is it worth anything?
Answer a stock brokerage firm can look it up and take 30min to 2 hours to research that firm. IT IS possible it was
absorbed into Standard Oil or Mobile or a biggie. IF so,
the stock is very valuable. IF it was an independent "wildcatter", no.
also, if it WAS valuable, MR. Ross would have a gain; how would you gain?
WHERE does it say they are from on the certificate?
Who is the issuer or underwriter of the stock?
