Question
My Husband strated having dizziness problem in 97 after he had pancreas tumor removed at Mayo Clinic. Tumor was benign.  They think its not related. Dizziness went away for a while and it sarted again in Nov. 2001.  It started with severe episodes.  he was dizzy for about 8 to 10 hrs and was nauseated.  They ran batteries of tests and all came normal. I took him to ENT, Heart specialist, Neurologist, Gastrologist. He had Brain tumor and its been removed. Last surgery was for Brain tumor removal in 92. His MRI is normal now.  He is been taking Tegretol and Dilantin for seizures.  But now since Nov. 2001 they stopped Tegeretol and gave him Kappra.  His seizures are under control.  He had last seizure in may be Oct or Nov last year.  But this evening he had seizure not genralized just local, then after that he sarted his dizziness and its 12:40am and still he feels dizzy and nauseated.  Will you please help us explaining what to do and where to take him for examination.  Thanks for your support.

Answer
Dear Chandra:

Your husband's problem is complex.  He may have had bppv after surgery as I did.  You can read about bppv ( benign positional paroxysmal vertigo) on my website at:
http://ivertigo.net/vertigo/verdiagnosis.html#BPPV

The curative exercise treatment is described at:
http://ivertigo.net/vertigo/vertherapy2.html

Overall I think your husband's situation is complicated enough that you need to readdress it with his neurologist after reading the information I have sent you.

Best regards,
