Question Hi, when I was in my 20s I had some pretty bad episodes of positional vertigo (for which the doctor gave me Antivert). I am in my 40s now, and over the years I have only had mild bouts here and there (one the other evening). When I do have trouble, it's always worse when I turn my head to the left (particularly when lying down).
If I do exercises for this when I am not having trouble, will it help prevent episodes, or do they have to be done while having trouble to return to normal?
Thank you for your help.
Answer Dear Christine:
Doing the exercises before you get symptoms will not likely ward off a new attack. However, as soon as you get symptoms begin another set of exercises.
