Question I am a 40 year old male. On Feb. 18th 2004, I went to doctor for vertigo. She stated I had inner ear infection, gave antibotics and meclizine. Still have vertigo after re-check. Went to E.R. for feeling like I would pass out and was told I probably moved the sand like things in my ears. It has been 2 months now and I still feel light headed after I have been awake for a little while and at times get real dizzy and have to shake it off, mostly when on computer. I feel like I am getting realy stressed over this constant feeling. Does this sound right?
Answer Dear Bobby:
It does sound as though you might have BPPV (benign positional paroxysmal vertigo) after your inner ear infection. You would likely benefit from exercise therapy as discussed on my website at: http://www.ivertigo.net/bdexercsies.html
