Question In dec 2002 I had a severe bout of dizziness/bed spins and sickness which laid me out for a few days,I have had recurrences and still feel that I am not entirely clear of it.I still also have constant tinnitus. My Gp says that it will go in time.He will not refer me to a specialist.
I have had one or two bouts of extreme dizzines which pass but leave me feeling drained.
Will these go? and if I wish to take a holiday would I be OK to fly?

Answer Dear Ian:
It sounds as though your initial attack was a labyrinthitis - an inflammation of the inner ear - now you may be having attacks of positional vertigo.
