Question Hello
I have been lately sometimes dizzy when I stand up or move head on side or back during short waking periods in sleep. I also lost consciousness for a few seconds once recently, after standing out of bed.
I was examined by cardiovascular specialist, but nothing out of range was found, except the low level of carbon dioxide (18 instead in 24-30). I didn't get any specific advice except to slow move out of bed etc. My cholesterol level is normal and I eat pretty healty, organic food. I am 40, smoke, but pretty fit. What could be wrong and what low level of carbon-dixide could mean?!
Thanks. Ema
Answer Dear Ema:
In all likelihood you have BPPV (benign positional paroxysml vertigo ). You can cure it with a particular exercise.
